Homegoing service for Mr. Davey Zeigler of Tampa who passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014, will be held on Saturday, June 14th, 11:00 a.m., New St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, 1006 S. 50th Street, Rev. Alec Hall, pastor with Elder Theodis Lane, pastor of Greater New Salem Primitive Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Davey was born in Yonkers, New York on April 30, 1966. He attended Enrico Ferme middle school in New York and Wilson Jr. High in Tampa. His trade was in plumbing, where he learned in the Job Corp. Davey was employed with Commonwealth Altadis USA until his death. He had a personal relationship with his Lord and Savior. Davey enjoyed boxing, fishing and cooking. He was preceded in death by his father, Zettis Zeigler. He leaves to cherish his loving memories to his devoted wife, Sharon Zeigler; children, LaBryan, Kayoni, Davey II and Leonora Zeigler; mother, Eva Z. Forman (Willie); mother-in-law, Valerie Nisbett; brothers, Zettis Zeigler (Darlene), Delion Zeiger (Yosherka) and Johnny Milian (Veronica), Palm Beach, FL; sister, Laton Bennett, GA; brothers-in-law, Elston Nisbett, Dexter Smithen, Devorne Smithen and Leon Nisbett (Neci); aunts, Claudia Mae Scott and Frankie Mae Wright, both of New York, Harriet Elder (Albert), Washington, DC, Rosa Lee Wilson, August, GA, Lorain Pringle (Julius), Denise Blood (Raymond), Charleston, SC, Betty Maine (Frances), New York, Evon Sellers (James), Clamous Henry, all of Tampa, FL, Sylvia Aurthurton, Bernadette Aurthurton, Viola Aurthurton, Anthia James, Delicia Henry, Orlando, FL, Edris Christopher; uncles, Leroy Jones (Dorothy), SC, David Jones (Susie), Antonio Jones (Linda), Richard Jones, Theodore Jones, Edward Jones (Yolanda), Willie James Jones (Kim), all of SC and Cephus Former, Tampa, Florida, Dennis Nisbett, and John Henry, Jr.; a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and best friend, Wayne C. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church for the service on Saturday.
