Funeral services for Mr. David Joe Carter of Tampa who passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016, will be held on Saturday, February 13th, 2:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., a local Minister officiating. David Joe Carter was born on March 17, 1959 to the late London Bryant and Josephine Carter. David was a caring person, especially about family members. David especially enjoyed the holiday season. He would cook holiday meals for residents in the group home in spite of his illness. This time of year was always a very happy time for David. He leaves to mourn his passing, Michael Carter, older brother and Debra Wilson younger sister, grand nieces and nephews also survive him. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, February 12th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
