Homegoing Service for Mr. David "Cap" Lee McGee, Jr. of Tampa, who passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015, will be held on Saturday, October 24th, 2:00 p.m. at The Center for Manifestation, 3102 Lake Ave, Apostle Mark T. Jones, pastor with Pastor Naomi Carter, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. David L. McGee, Jr. was a native of Valdosta, GA and longtime resident of Tampa, FL, where he found the love of working as a longshoreman. People remember Mr. McGee as a "Jack of all trades," he also loved to work as a horticulturist. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Christine McGee and brother, Sammie McGee. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with a devoted wife, Jacqueline McGee; daughter, Francine Williams (Joseph); son, David McGee, Jr.; stepson, Maurice Collins, Sr.; brothers, Roosevelt Harris, Johnny Lawson (Sharon), Willie Lawson (Donna) and Joe Taylor; sisters, Ina Tyler, Rose Lawson, Minnie Lawson, Mildred Carter of Valdosta, GA and Ida Mae Moore of Miami, FL; brother-in-law, Bradford Collins Jr.; sisters-in-law, Wendy Glover (Stanley), Lakeland, FL, Valerie Tillman (Don), Bartow, FL, and Geneva Carter (Randolph), Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Javonn McGee, Dominique Denmark, Rick Denmark, Chrishawna Wade and Joseph Williams, Jr.; step grandson, Maurice Collins, Jr.; great grand-children, Jaquan Charles, Ricky Denmark, Jr., Ka'mariya Charles, Ricky Denmark III and Ja'Kari Wade; a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, October 23rd, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
