Obituary

David Porter, Jr., was born on March 2, 1946, in Albany, Georgia. David attended Middleton High School and graduated in 1964. Shortly after graduation, in May 1969.

David enlisted into the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a private in the infantry. David also enlisted in Cold Weather Training Camp in "DRUM", New York where he received a National Defense Service Medal. David was honorably discharged and began working as a supervisor for the city of Tampa in the Parks and Recreation Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Porter, Sr., and Bessie Lee Porter; wife, Corine Porter; brother, Robert Lewis Porter; sisters, Nettie Dennis, and Minnie Davis.

He leaves precious memories with his siblings, Mattie James, Charles Porter (Frankie), Betty J. Warren (Freddie), Dr. Marvin Porter (May Jean), Bessie Caradine, Nadine Williams, Addie White (Robert), Delores Johnson (Leonard), and Russell L. Porter (Tarkesha); brother-in-law, Min. Willie Davis; step-children, Cheryl Jones (Samuel), James Hills (Linda), and Charles Hill (Serina W.); grandchildren, Kendra Davis, Ciara T. King, Corraine F. Davis, Everett James Hill, Isaiah D. Jones, and James M. Hill; great-grandchildren, Saniya V. Lewis, Kadariah Lewis, and Malia Stevens; nephews, Jimmy Porter, George Dennis, William Dennis (Bonnie), Ronnie C. Barnum, Lonnie C. Barnum Jr. (Tasha), Jayfrey Williams (Valerie), David Davis, Lathario Johnson (Melissa), BronKelly Porter (Yolanda), Virturious Williams (Sherry), Samuel Porter, Tony Bennett, Jeremy Porter, Russell Porter Jr., Rashawn Porter, and Elijah Johnson; nieces, Sara Porter, Angela Carter (Norman), Priscella Watson (Tony), Marlena Knight (Derrick), DePraine Asberry, Kimeka Johnson, Voncelia and Kiona Black, Charmane Porter, Jeanette Fields (Jerry), Vivian Conrad, Phyllis and Toya Shuler, Kathy Dennis, Lakeisha Nobles, Aisha Sharrieff, Lesley Moore (Donrick), and Katherine Beling.
