Deacon James Allen Burston was born July 11, 1938, in Madison, Georgia to the late Roy Allen Burston and Essie Bell (Sims). He attended Faith Temple Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Leonard Burston; brothers, Leroy Moore, and Willie Zachary; sisters, Bridie Pearl Hendry and Julia B. Ross and special aunt, Hallie M. Sims. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his loving and caring wife, Linda Burston; son, James Anthony Burston, Jr.; daughters, Lauwanna Buchanan (Oliver), Michelle Coote (Noel), Montrea Burston, Pam Cannon; stepsons, Craig Barnum and Kevin Priester, Richard L. Burston(Juanita) and Lee Rogers Burston (Martha); sisters, Hallie M. Strickland (Rev. Johnny Strickland), and Lucille A. Smith; a host of sisters-n-law, brothers-n-law, nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members.
