A homegoing celebration for Deacon Lawrence Edward Cannon, Sr. of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019 will be held on Saturday, June 1st, 11:00 a.m. at New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2511 E. Columbus Drive, Rev. Larry L. Roundtree pastor, officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Deacon Lawrence Edward Cannon, Sr. was born on January 26, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Aaron Cannon, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Love Cannon and was the third oldest of 14 children. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frederick, Jeffery, Sr. and Harold Cannon. He leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories with his loving wife, Carolann Davis-Cannon; four sons, Lawrence, Jr.; Darien, Deandre and Kyle; three brothers, Aaron (Patricia), Hurter (Joanne) and Timothy; six sisters, Wilma Jean, Mary Ann, Linda Marie (Willie), Catherine, Terri Lynn and Antoinette; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; his beloved goddaughter, Kimberlie Mykel Mills; a host of nieces, nephews and many friends and associates. The visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1st from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
