Homegoing services for Mrs. Deborah Simms of 404 Gould Court who passed away, Sunday, August 23, 2009, will be held Saturday, August 29th, 3:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Yeoman, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Deborah was born January 14, 1952 in Tampa, Florida and was educated in the schools of Hillsborough County. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Mason. She leaves to cherish her memories; sons, Preston Simms (Lanara Lawson) and Robert Simms; 9 grandchildren, Denise Sirmons, Lakeisha Simms, Travis Pinkney, Robert Simms, Preston Simms and Joy-tricia Burr, Marlisa Candis, Drucilla Simms and Prince Simms; great grandchildren, Shana Sirmons, Sanay Boone, Travis Pinkney, Jr., and A'neyma Pinkey; brother, George Mason; sisters, Ratanya Mobley and Starretha; nieces, Ebony Mason and Chraleena White; devoted friend, Diane Butler; and a host of other relatives and friends. The remains will repose on Thursday, August 28th, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel for the service on Saturday.
