Delivrance (Clairmira Charlot) Dortelus-Joseph made her transition in the early morning hours on Friday, September 25, 2020 to reunite with the ancestors and her beloved family members.

A private family viewing will be held on October 2, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Aikens Funeral Home Chapel; the service and interment will be at the Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Ave., on Saturday, October 3rd at 1:00 p.m.

Ma Vilus, or Grann as she was affectionately known, was born in Chwazy (Milot), Haiti on January 14, 1932 to the union of Isyeline and Wanelo Charlot. She was the eighth of ten children. Grann was an avid lover of cards (specifically Casino), and dominoes. She loved to watch game shows, every sport there is (soccer, football, basketball, etc.), and could watch Steve Harvey and Family Feud at all hours of the day. Her favorite pastime of all was spending time with her loved ones, especially her great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Vilus Joseph; parents: Isyeline and Wanelo Charlot; three brothers: Juasen Charlot, Luis Charlot, and St. Flair Charlot; five sisters: Suzanne Charlot, Krista Charlot; Adlrz Charlot, Silfiz Paul, and Elisyen Charlot; nephew: Henry Charlot; and cousins: Virginia and Kodada Charlot.

Grann leaves behind the greatest impact on her family: one daughter: Marie Joseph; one son: Francillion Joseph (Denise); grandchildren: John Joseph, Merlande (Joseph) Petit-Bois, Natasha Joseph, Franzson Joseph, Dianise Joseph, Johnson Joseph, and Rose-Darline Joseph; and great-grandchildren: Tyson Ronald Drummond, Mia Marie Drummond, Cassidy Joseph Johnson, Nova Delivrance Joseph, Shakur Maurice Joseph, Taj Amir Johnson, Aja Janae Johnson, and Cassius John Joseph. She also leaves behind fond and cherished memories with countless other relatives, friends, and neighbors; too numerous to mention but not forgotten.
