A homegoing celebration for Mr. Derrick F. Galloway, Sr., of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016 will be held Saturday, November 19th, 3:00 p.m. at The Center for Manifestation, 3102 E. Lake Ave., Apostle Mark T. Jones, pastor officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Derrick F. Galloway, Sr. was born June 19, 1961 in Tampa, Florida. He attended the local schools of Hillsborough County, graduating from East Bay High School, class of 1979. He was an avid bowler and also enjoyed playing softball. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Oliver III and grandparents, Willie and Essie Galloway. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his children, Derrick Galloway, Jr. and Diamone Galloway; parents, Eddie Jr., and Mary Oliver; aunts, Frances Williams and Earlene Flournory; uncle, Earl Oliver; cousins, Tavores Flournory, Henry Flournory, Richard Williams, Wynette Garfield and Patricia Hibbert; special cousin, Henry Flournory; special brother-in-law, Oscar McDaniels (Virgil); special friends, Levi 'Pop' Small, Johnny Oliver, Jr., David Lewis, William Ford, Tarrah and Jackie; ex-wife, Cathy Galloway; and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, November 18th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
