A Celebration of Life for Mr. Derry Montoute of Tampa, Florida who passed away on September 1, 2021, will be held on Friday, September 10th at 2:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Martin Luther King Blvd., Pastor Norman Harris, officiating.

Derry was born June 10, 1956, to Juliana Lobin and Sankar John. Derry had a passion and flare for cooking. He was a creative cook and seeing others enjoy his meal gave him so much joy. He enjoyed fishing, soccer, and overall sports enthusiast. His love and gift in the culinary arts was his way to nurture and bring those he loved and cared for together. He may not say so, but he achieved his goal and dream of becoming a renowned chef. As family and friends came through his door their first words be, "Derry what are you Cooking!"

He was preceded in death by his father, grandmother Victoria Robain, grandfather, Phillip Robain, and sister, Shirley Joseph. He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Ann-Marie Clark-Montoute; mother, Juliana (Lawrence); daughters, Ciara Hall, Amber Hall, adopted daughter, LaRoya Mitchell; grandchildren, Nevaeh Hall and Elijah Mitchell; brothers, Sankar Montoute, Deron Lobin, Leon John; sisters, Sabeta Lawson, Merle John Anderson, Theresa John, Bernadette Moore; aunts, Irma Mason, Monica Robain, Veronica Robain, Jemma Robain; uncles, Murchison Robain, Albert Robain; nephews, Sankar Montoute Jr., Suraj Montoute, Semahn Montoute, Douglas Lawson; great-niece Isabella Lawson; great-nephews, Demian Lawson, and Camden Montoute; brother-in-laws, Brian Clarke and Amon Saba Saakana; sister in law, Beryl Clarke; Godmother, Victoria (Liz) Williams; close friends, Chris Gordon, Steve Alexander, Bob Henry, and Wendell Evans; and a host of other loving friends and relatives.

The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 10th from 1:00 2:00 p.m. We are following the CDC guidelines.
