Devany was born on September 19, 1985, to AJ House and Kathy Reed. Devany graduated from Lavoy Exceptional School.

Devany was preceded in death by her father, AJ House; grandmother, Annie L. Fennie; stepfather, Willie L. Bisbee, Sr.; uncle, John F. Fennie; great-aunts, Fannie Mae Baker, Johnnie Mae Franklin, and great- uncle, John Finney.

Devany leaves to cherish her memories: mother, Kathy Reed; brothers, John C. Blue IV (Victoria) and Alfred Hicks (Jaimie); sister, Angela S. Reed; cousin, Maelaina Fennie; nieces, Johnesha Blue, Johnecia Blue, Kaliyah Blue, Alaysia Blue, Angel Blue and Rihanna Hicks; nephews, Corey Thornton, John C. Blue V, Jeremiah Blue, Elijah Blue and Ceasar Blue; great-nephew, Kenta K. Saunders, Jr.; aunt, Deborah Fennie-Barnhill (Rev. George Barnhill), and uncle; Alfred L.
