Diane was born on August 16, 1949, in Sanford, FL., to Willie Wright and Juanita (Brown) Smith. She enjoyed dancing, music, travel, and was friendly with people of many walks of life. She was especially devoted to helping her family and friends with personal health needs.

She retired from decades of devoted service in nursing throughout Pinellas and Hillsborough County, as an LPN. She was a 1967 Gibbs High School graduate; LPN credentials: Brewster Tech & Tomlinson Voc-Tech; employment career: Veteran's Administration, Hillsborough County Schools, and various assisted living communities. Diane loved life and giving herself to those who needed help and consolation. A true blessing to her family she was.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves precious memories with a host of siblings; aunts, Thelma (Baker) Thornton, Nellie (Brown) Flowers, and Laura Graham; and a host of cousins.
