Donnie was born August 26, 1936, in Eufaula, Alabama and a long-time resident of Tampa, Florida.

He was preceded death by his
parents, Will Lynn and Malissa Hicks; 14 brothers and sisters and 1 daughter, LaSeme
Shine.

Paul attended Okey Grove in Eufaula, Alabama. Paul confessed Christ at an early
age at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Eufaula, Alabama. Upon leaving Alabama, he
connected with St. Luke AME Church in Tampa, Florida, where he served as a member
of the Mens Choir, Mens Ministries and the Sons of Allen. His favorite scripture was:
"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Psalm 150:6. He was
joined in holy matrimony to the late Ruby Eugenia Hicks. Paul was a small business
owner of a roofing company, where he served for over 30 years to the Tampa Bay
Community before retirement.

He leaves to cherish his memories from the union of
marriage from the late Eugenia Hicks, 4 sons and 1 daughter, Renaldo Austin (Brenda),
LLalando Austin (Ola), Nino Austin (Kathie) and Saughanto Austin (Queen); sisters,
Carrie Mae Brown and Nellie Smith; a host of grandchildren; great grandchildren, nieces,
nephews and good friend, Thomas Aikens and his "front porch" family.

The family and friends are asked to meet at St. Luke AME Church for the service on Saturday.
