A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Donovan Vernard Eskew of Tampa, FL who passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 will be held on Saturday, August 12th, 2:00 p.m. at Exciting Central Tampa Baptist Church, 2923 N. Tampa Street, Minister Zeb McKinon, officiating. The interment will follow. Donovan was born on June 26, 1962 to the late Johnnie Mae Eskew in Columbia, South Carolina. Donovan loved to fish and listen to music but most of all he loved to spend time with his children. He was preceded in death by his mother, Johnnie Mae Eskew; son, Xavier Maurice Bethel and father-in-law, Roamie Lee. He leaves to cherish his memories with his wife, Cynthia Eskew; children, Deja Dominique Eskew, Kristen Sturrup (Percy) and Kamisha Kimble (Liz Green); grandchildren, Kamryn Williams, Amari Bethel, Maurice Bethel, Tarvarous Sturrup, Terrell Sturrup, Xavier Bethel, Jr., Xavianna Bethel and Myrikle Bethel; sisters, Diana Bethel and Janelle Bethel; nieces, Michelle Kearse, Felecia Kearse, Shaina Kearse, Tiffany Ferguson (Mark) and Rhonda Lee; nephews, Brandon Smith (Ayesha), De Chon Young and Trevon Lee; mother-in-law, Mamie J. Lee; sisters-in-law, Janie Kearse and Brenda Young (Jimmy); brother-in-law, Minister Ronald Lee; god-children, Faizah McDaniels, Jacory McDaniels and Tristan Baa and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, August 11th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
