Homegoing services for Ms. Doris Crawford of 4208 E. Clifton Street, who passed away, Friday, May 22, 2009, will be held on Saturday, May 30th, 2:00 p.m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd, with Pastor J.D. Simmons, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Ms. Crawford was born January 29, 1921, and was a longtime resident of Tampa, Florida. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Ms. Crawford was preceded in death by both of her parents; and cousin Alton Palmore. She leaves to cherish her fond memory: cousins, May Smith, Adell and Leo Gainer, Evamae McLendon, Ruth Collins, Glady Senell, Mary Allen, Patricia Brown, Charles Brown, Benjamin Smith, Charles Bethel, Howard Bethel, Danny Bethel, Carolyn Cole and Celeste Palmore; special friends, Carolyn Williams, John and Wynell Mitchell, the White family, Mary Freeman, Rosa Lee Norton and family, Evangelist Bettye Viverette, Elder Michael Russell, Elizabeth Watson, Jean Anderson, Minister Eva Russell, Nell St. Clair, Mattie McCarr and family and the Pope family. The remains will repose at Aikens Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2009. The family will receive friends from 6 - 7 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel Saturday at 1:45 p.m.
