Homegoing Services for Mrs. Doris Harris, who passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011, will be held Saturday, March 5th, 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Holiness Church, 4216 E. Chelsea Ave., with Bishop James Cochran, officiating. Mrs. Harris was born January 1, 1930 in Ocala, Florida. She grew up in a Christian home. Mrs. Harris loved cooking, cleaning and making people laugh. She was joined in holy matrimony on May 7, 1957 to Willie Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Willie Harris; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Butler and brother, Bernard Butler. She leaves to cherish her memories; children, Polanice Harris, Ron Harris, Charles Harris, Dionne Harris and Lendrick Harris; a host of grandchildren; brother, Rudolph Webb; daughter-in-law, Tamika Powell; niece, Ronesia Edwards and a host of nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The viewing will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011 at Aikens Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday at 12:45 p.m. for the service.
