A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Dorothy Belinda Jordan who passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 will be held Saturday, February 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at New St. Peter's Apostolic Church, 6429 Oran Street, Pastor Lucy Jordan with Deacon Steven Jordan, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Dorothy Belinda Jordan was born on November 1, 1952 in Tampa, Florida to the late Booker T. Jordan and Eva Mae Williams. Dorothy loved to listen to music and dance. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Johnny Mae Johnson and Curtis Thomas; and one brother, Theodore Jordan. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her grandchildren, Courtney Gilmore, Jasmine Johnson, Y'ceania Thomas, Oriel Blunt, Da'nae Thomas, Curtis Thomas, and Da'niya Thomas; great-grandchildren, Irvin Preston and Iden Preston; brothers, Robert Jordan (Hazel), Arthur Jordan, Ricardo, Wayne Williams, Reginald Williams, Steve (Lucy), and Danny Jordan; sisters, Eddie Mae Jordan, Vivian Smith, Jennifer Williams, Emma Joyce, Marion Tindal, Donna Leisa Jordan, and Barbara Jean; uncles, James Dannard (Debra), and Johnnie Dennard; nieces, Audrey Rogers, Kimberly Jordan, Theandria Jordan, Tracy Jordan, Catina Jordan, Hattie Jordan, and Lisa Jordan; nephews, William Rogers, Robert Rogers, Jr., and William Rogers, III; and a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, February 2nd, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
