Homegoing celebration for Mr. Dwight Weaver who passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 was held on Saturday, May 24th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd, with Rev. Quantai Washington, Pastor officiating. Dwight Weaver was born July 20, 1941 in Washington, DC. He was a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. He was a sports fanatic, loved the raiders, loved to travel and visit friends and family, doting on his grandchildren, he loved to blog about day to day issues and he loved mentoring young people from YATC in Miami area. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dessie and Joseph Weaver; brothers and sisters, Joel Weaver, Myra Weaver, Vernon Weaver and Annette Martin. He leaves to cherish his memories with his children, Valencia Weaver, D'Andre Weaver, Bryant Weaver, Amber Weaver, Antonette Weaver; adopted children, Sheila, Keith, Carol and Lorenzo Johnson; grandchildren; Lilyana, Brandi, D'Andre and Brianna; great grandchildren, Devin and Demetrius; longtime friend and colleague, Carlos Suarez; and longtime friends and school mates, David Bowden, Charles Myers and Alton White; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
