A homegoing celebration for Deacon Earnest Alexander Pinder, Jr. of Tampa, who passed away Friday, May 24, 2019, will be held Saturday, June 1st, 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th Street., Rev. S. Evan Burrows, pastor officiating. The interment will be in Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Florida. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherished memories with his endearing and loving wife of 64 years, Elvira Rebecca Pinder; 2 devoted children, Earnest A. Pinder III and spouse, Victoria and Sabrina Pinder Myers and spouse, Rick; grandsons, Koran Ricardo Myers and spouse, Brittney and Isaiah Alexander Myers; great grandson, Kameron N. Myers; 1 aunt, Frances Russell of West Palm Beach, FL; 2 spiritually adopted sons, Windell Roberson and Rodney Lasing; special friend, Harold Brewer II; and a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and church members. The visitation will be held Friday, May 31st from 5:00 to 8:00 at First Baptist Church of College Hill. The family will receive from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the church. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the funeral ceremony.
