Mr. Earnest L. Simmons, Jr. Homegoing services for Mr. Earnest L. Simmons, Jr., of Tampa who passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2010, will be held on Saturday, July 31st, 11:00 a.m., at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Frank Wynn, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. He was born May 25, 1962 to the late Earnest, Sr., and Christina B. Simmons. He leaves to cherish his memory: brothers, Joseph Simmons, Sr., Harvey Simmons, Christopher Simmons and Martin Simmons; sister, Kanea Davenport; aunts, Gloria Jean Crosby, Helen Jenkins, Nina Monroe and Gwen Monroe; uncles, Willie Monroe and Freddie Monroe; nieces, Lakeisha Johnson and Jamika Johnson; nephews, Joseph C. Simmons, Jr. and Collins Simmons; 1 great niece; 3 great nephews; cousins, Lisa Hale, Sonya Walker, Alvin Monroe, Darryl Monroe, Kenny Monroe, Walter Monroe and Sharon Monroe; sister-in-law, Linda Johnson-Simmons, friends, Dorothy and Stacey Davenport; and a host of other relatives and friends. The viewing will be held on Friday, July 30th, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home. The friends are asked to meet at the chapel for the service on Saturday.
