Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Earnest "Buck" Stafford of Tampa who passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, will be held on Saturday, February 21st, 11:00 a.m. at Deliverance Church of the Body of Christ, 2708 E. 23rd, Ave., Elder George Bailey, pastor with Elder Alfonso Tolbert, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Earnest was born in Valdosta, Georgia on September 10, 1923 to Sam and Josie Stafford. Later when he moved to Tampa, he met and married, Ida B. Sanders. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida B. Stafford; father, Sam Stafford; brother, Thomas "Jack" Stafford; 2 sisters, Rosie Lee Jackson and Theola Crawford and grandson, Wiley "Tim" Shaw. Earnest leaves to cherish his memories: his children, 2 daughters, Earnestine Stafford and Flora Jean Hankerson; 1 son, Major Spry; 2 step-sons, Alfonso Tolbert and Willie Tolbert (Janice); 4 grandchildren, David Hodges (Wanda), Zorhonda Turner, Phillip Russ and Candace Russ; 2 great granddaughters, Zakiyah Bentley and Lashawna Anderson; 21 step-grandchildren, Anthony, Everett, Gerry, Tangela, Marecia, Maria, Tolonda, Karry and Gerald Tolbert, Shoronda, Quiana, Daphne, Nikeesha, Ryan, Torino, Regina, Willie, Jr., Alfonso, Jr., and Shayla Tolbert, Nicole Merritt and Theodore; 3 nieces, Gerone "Polly" Thomas, Daisy L. Drayton and Josie B. Cherry; nephew, Kenny P. Stafford; and a host of acquaintances, cousins and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
