Homegoing celebration for Ms. Ebony Monique Leggett of Tampa, FL who departed this earthly life peacefully in her sleep at her home on the morning of Thursday, August 28, 2014. The celebration service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m, College Hill COGIC, 6414 N. 30th Street, Elder Charles Davis, pastor with Elder Jadie M. Singletary, of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, officiating. Interment will be Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Ebony Monique Leggett was born on Wednesday, August 8, 1984, at 1:58 a.m. in Tampa, Florida. Ebony graduated from A.P. Leto High School and attended Hillsborough Community College. Her life is to be celebrated, so we will not mourn her passing. To God be the glory! Ebony was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Erwin and Pauline Speed and paternal grandfather, Jimmie Leggett, Sr. and uncle, Joseph Leggett, Sr. To cherish her memories and celebrate her homegoing are parents, Tonjua Walden (Irwin) and Aaron Leggett (special friend, Ann); siblings, DeAndre Walden (Eileen), Erin Leggett (Tyrone), Deonte Walden, Irwin Walden, Jr. and Bianca Walden; godbrother, Damarquez Jones; godsister, Anai'ja Lee; grandmother, Augustine Leggett; great-grandmother, Alice Pugh; uncles, Reginald Singletary (Elaine), Pastor Dwayne Singletary (Stephanie), Garrick Pimienta, Sr. (Valeria); Ervin Speed, Jr. (Nicole), Jimmy Leggett, Curtis Leggett, Gary Leggett (Angela) and Steven Leggett; aunts, Stephanie Speed, Tracy Butler, Adrienne (Penny) Sneed (Jimmy), Mary Leggett, Alice Leggett and Chanda Leggett; cousins, Reginald, Jr., Adrian, Regina, Annie, Darrell, Dwayne, Jr., Marquis, Quinton, Gabriel, Devin, Makayla, Shamira, Garrick (Antonio), Jr., Reshawn, Cedric, Jashaondra, Juwaun, Anthony, Almerie, Xavier, Lenard, Gary, Jr., LaChanda (Phillip), Angie, Joseph, Jr. Aaron, Frank, Jr., Demetrius, Myra, Morris, Rodney, Wally, Kevin and Tanisha. The visitation will be held on Friday, September 5th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
