Homegoing services for Mr. Eddie B. Jones of Tampa, who passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013, will be held on Saturday, February 16th, 11:00 a.m. at Abundant Life Church, 4701 E. Hanna Ave, Pastor Randy Randolph, with Bishop Charles Belts, officiating. Interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Eddie was born March 17, 1939 in Cuthbert, Georgia. He was a member of Abundant Life Enrichment Church. He enjoyed playing chess and socializing with family and friends. He was a retired cook in New York for many years. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Johnny Jones, Sr.; mother, Mattie B. Jones; brothers, Leroy Jones, Willie Jones and sister; Mary Borders. daughter, Sheila Jones Prince and husband, Wilbert of Tampa; brothers, Robert Jones (Willie Mae), Jimmy Jones, Homer Jones, Roosevelt Jones, Johnny B. Jones, Jr., (Cassie) and Jessie Tarver (Betty); sisters, Diane Jones, Betty Smith (Gary), Cuthbert, Georgia, Minnie Jones Gaither (James), San Angelo, Texas and Ceola Jones, New Orleans; aunts, Elmira Turner, Eufaula, Alabama and Mary Lizzie Starling, Tampa; special niece, Sherree Parson and best friends, Oliver Parson and Bwayn Richardson; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephew, cousins; and other relatives and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, February 15th, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
