Homegoing services for Mr. Eddie Roberson of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015, will be held Saturday, September 12th, 11:00 a.m. at Nassau Church of Christ, 1312 W. Nassau St., Pastor Andrew Atkinson, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Eddie Leonard Roberson was the 5th of five children born to Lessie Roberson and Mozella Roberson Sneed on June 21, 1954. He was a graduate of the Hillsborough County Public Schools. Eddie accepted Christ in his life in early childhood. He held several jobs in the Tampa area but his most memorable work experience was working for his lifelong friend, Mr. Pete Sierra. Later, he had to be admitted into an assistant living program. He loved living at Sun Rise Village, where he was the Bingo Champ. Eddie later joined the Nassau Church of Christ. He was also a former member of Tyer Temple United Methodist Church, where he served as an usher. He will truly be missed by his family. One sister preceded him in death, Christella Dupree. Eddie leaves to cherish his memory: 2 sisters, Lessie Matthews and husband, James and Jessie Forde and husband, Philip; 1 brother, James Roberson; caring aunt, Lois McCray; devoted cousins, Ora Williams and Catherine Campbell; devoted friend, Pete Sierra; 6 nieces, Tiffany Harris, Simone Dupree, Angela Chappell, Charlotte Davis, Nicole Matthews and McKenzie Stewart; 4 nephews, Marcus Matthews and wife, Sharon, Julian Forde, Eric Forde and Cayden Forde; and other relatives and friends. The viewing will be held one hour prior to service on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
