Edith was born on October 21, 1937, in Comer, Alabama, to Joel and Emma Louise Butler. Edith liked cooking, traveling, reading, enjoying family time, and being a caregiver to her patients.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joel and Emma Butler, brothers, John, Willie, Roland, Paul S. Butler, and Leonard Bishop, and sister, Arwilla Farris.
She leaves precious memories with her children, daughter,Janice L. Farris;sons, Gergory Lynn Ford, Cullen Paul Butler (Yupha), Albert Dennis Farris and Mark F. Farris (Evelyn); grandchildren, Cullen Paul Butler, Jr. Keith Meeks, Albert Tyrone Farris , Antoine Farris, Alex Farris, Khadijah Farris, Lindoria Farris, Candace Farris, and Jacob Farris; great-grandchildren, Kemari Meeks, Keshari Meeks, Layla Aqueen Farris, Denyja Lamour, and Daivina Lamour; sisters, Carleane Conry-Olczak (Joseph) and Patricia A. Butler; nieces, Erika M. Johnson, Kimberly Conry-Williams (Kendrick), and Melissa Bryant (Kevyn); nephews, Kerron T. Pride, Renaldo Champagne, Robert C. Tramel, Jr. Damien C. Tramel (Melissa), Paul S. Butler, Jr. Ernest Butler, and Curtis Butler; cousins, Leola Anne, Shirley E., Gloria Jean, and Gertrude Marie Mathews, Queen E. Rimes, Levy Turner (Janice), Herman W. Mathews, Nathaniel F. Mathews (Vivian), and David Tucker; and very special daughter -in- law, Claudell Shelia Bush (Gary); wonderful neighbors, Debra Wilson, Dr. Rose Jones, and Shelton McCarr; as well as a host of great- nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special thanks to the Serenity House of Ybor, owner, Tonya Bell, and Michelle Peacock, and the staff at Central Park Rehabilitation Center in Brandon, FL., including the hospice care unit.
