Homegoing celebration for Mrs. Edith Marie Mullins Gilmore who passed away Monday, May 6, 2013 will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013; 2:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leon Gallon, officiating. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery. Edith Marie Mullins Gilmore was baptized at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. C.P. Eppps. Edith enjoyed reading, watching food network and spending time with her children, family and friends. She was preceded in death by husband, Samuel M. Gilmore, Sr., parents, Bobby and Virginia Mullins; daughter, Tamara L. Mullins; brothers, Wesley Guyton and James Mullins. She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories with children, Samuel M. Gilmore, Jr. (Misty) and Chantrelle Dixon; grandchildren. Kolby Jackson, Soriah Sandlin and Kamarie and Kamyah Dixon; brothers, Gary Guyton (Gersena) of Detroit, Michigan, Edward Guyton and Larry Mullins of New York; sisters, Belinds M. Gilmore (Willie, Sr.), Winda Mullins (James), Wanda Mullins( H. Mainer) of Kissimmee, FL, and Loretta Walker of Orlando, FL; aunts, Daisy Hollins and Nancy Green of Orlando, FL; uncles, Andrew Leaster or Orlando, FL and Bobby Joe Leaster of Boston, Massachusetts; nieces, Laura Harris (Michael), Emon Washington (Ervin, Sr.), Lachandra Guyton of California, Lashelle Guyton of of California, Phyllis Brewer (A.L. Worlds) of St. Petersburg, Florida, Latonya Mobley (Jay) of Austin, Texas Danielle Guyton of Orlando, Florida and Latasha Dixon of Orlando, Florida; nephews, Marlon Mullins, Eran Mullins, Edward Mullins, Willie Gilmore, Jr., Michael Gilmore, Sr., Gary Guyton, Jr., Darius Guyton, James Lee, Sr. and Calvin Lee; cousins, Rev, Richard Green (Isiah) of Orlando, FL, Deidra, Stephanie, Vanesssa and Paula; special friends, Gayle Hopkins, Cynthia Davis, Sharon Pride, Linda Hollinger Rials, Stephanie Bell, Maria Council;, Sherrita Gibson, Lorraine Love and a host of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Gwen Ings, commissioner Sam Ings of Orlando, FL; Lifepath Hospice; Maynard High School class of 74' and the Hillsborough County Health Department. The visitation will be held Friday, May 10th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
