A homegoing celebration for Ms. Edith E. Williams of Tampa, Florida who passed away, Sunday July 3, 2016 will be held Friday, July 8th, at 12:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Elder Alvin Williams, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Edith E. Williams was born to the late Lindsay Williams and Pressie Spotford on August 25, 1929, in Tampa, Florida. She attended Solid Rock Church of Jesus. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning and being with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Lindsay and Pressie L. Williams; brothers, Julius Williams, David Williams, Lionel L. Williams and Kenneth Williams and sister Alice Montgomery. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her son, Alvin Williams (Laura); grandchildren, Dorelle Heard and Jermaine Moore; great grandchildren, Joshua Heard, David L. Atwood and Graddie L. Atwood; brother, Edward Williams; sister Marguerite Williams; uncles, Clarence Brown of Washington, D.C.; nieces, Janice Williams (Reginald) and Gail Williams; nephews, Alfonso Williams (Carrie), Reginald Williams and Edward Williams Jr., a host of cousins; friends, Pastor Ovedia Davis, Arleen Clarke, Helen Pridgen, the family of Solid Rock Church, the past friends of Clifford Hill; and a host other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, July 8th one hour prior to the service. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel for the service.
