Mr. Edward Robert Hancock

A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Edward Hancock of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019 will be held Saturday, August 24th, 2:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Pastor Sandy Banks, officiating. The interment will be held in Orange Hill Cemetery. Edward Hancock was born March 30, 1945 in Madison County, Georgia to Andrew Hancock, Sr., and Margie Rosa Mae Scott Hancock. He enjoyed fishing, car shows and working on cars. Ed was known for his beautiful smile and warm and loving spirit. He accepted Christ at an early age.He was a member of Transforming Lives Christian Center. Ed married Otree Triplett. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Sr. and Margie Hancock; brothers, Andrew Hancock, Jr. and Doresey Leon Hancock and sister, MaDell Beasley. He leaves cherish his fond and loving memories with his loving wife, Otree Speaight Hancock; sons, Jason L. Speaight (Tam), Robert E. Hancock and Thomas L. Hancock; daughters, Aeriel M. Triplett and Chantel R. Hancock; grandchildren, Khylee R. Jackson, Jason L. Speaight, Jr., Jaden C. Speaight, Robert E. Hancock, III, Ryan Hancock, Jasiah J. Speaight and Jacee T. Speaight; sisters, Jessie Coates (Vincent) and Christine Jackson (Keith) and brother, Milton Hancock; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends that will miss him. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, August 23rd from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
