Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Edwardena Willis of Tampa, Florida who passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015 will be held Saturday, December 19th, 11:00 a.m. at Cypress Pointe Community Church, 15820 Morris Bridge Road, Rev. Gwynne Burt, senior pastor of Arms of Christ Christian Fellowship Church, officiating. The interment will follow. Edwardena was well known for her signature cakes, cooking, making people laugh, smiling, making a positive impact in people's lives, music and dancing. She was preceded in death by her father, William McBurney; mother, Charlotte McBurney and husband, Dennis Owens, Sr.; She leaves to cherish her memories with, daughter, Calesian Harris; stepsons, Dennis Owens, Jr. and Daevon Owens; sister, Eujetta McGhee; aunt, Hortence Marshall; uncle, Eugene Marshall, Sr.; nieces, Christian McBurney, Chermi McBurney, Christina Williams, Gina Gant, Sorena Rawlins, Trasha Owens and Markita Owens; nephews, James Williams, Jr., James Williams, Sr., Glen Gant, Jr., and Ronald Owens, Jr.; cousins, Gwynne Burt and Genine T. Vaughn; brothers-in-law, Ronald Owens, Sr. and Donald Owens; sister-in law, Gwendolyn Owens; son-in-law, Otis Williams, Jr.; special friends, Zena McBride, Cecilia Langston, Sonia Wade, Jeffrey Branton, Fran McBride and Martha Brim; and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church for the service on Saturday.
