Homegoing Visitation service for Mrs. Ela Verndon Wise-Fortilus (aka Cily and Muga) of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012, will be held on Saturday, September 29th, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel. Ela was born April 13, 1957 in Tampa, Florida to the late Oscar and Grace A. Wise. Ela was of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness faith. She worked for over 20 years as a supervisor at Old 97 Company. Ela enjoyed shopping, cooking, spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Wilbert A. Wise and Oscar J. Wise III. Ela is survived by her spouse, Jacques J. Fortilus, Sr.; children, Jael I. Cherry (Terry), Kenyatta R. Watson (Chris) and Jacques J. Fortilus, Jr.; grandchildren, Derrick C. James, Jr. (Shenetra), Jocelyn L. Fortilus and Jacques J. Fortilus III; brother, Eddie J. Wise (Cynt); sister, Katie L. Wise-Hutchinson; aunts, Margaret Black and family, Lillian and Andrew Gates and family of South Carolina, Annie Mae Gates and family of South Carolina, Serena Jones and family and Betty Wise and family of San Diego, California; nephews, Eddie, Travis, Jerome, Wesley, and Kendall; cousins, George, Frank, Franklin, Gerald, Mickey, Kurt, Calvin, Terry, Columbus, Hezzard, Karen, Jamisa, Charlie, Sheryl, Winston, Timmy, Oscar, Sandy, Sylvia, Ronald, Cleveland, Marvin, Debra, Rev.
