The Visitation for Elder Frank John Clay of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 will be held Thursday, May 28th, 4:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The interment will be held in Riverside Cemetery in Albany, Georgia. Elder Frank J. Clay was born on January 18, 1933 to Henry Lee and Clara Mae Clay in Branwood, Georgia. John was the youngest son of five children. He received his formal education through the Terrel County Public School System. At an early age he professed his faith in Jesus Christ. He was united in holy matrimony to Mother Louise Clay in September 1963. This union was blessed with 8 children. Mother Clay preceded him in death on June 12, 1948. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Greta Clay; son, Elden Clay and stepdaughter, Regina Scott; stepson, Earl Scott; grandson, Gerald Robinson; sisters, Kate and Doris Clay; brother, Robert Clay and mother-in-law, Sara Lee Scott. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his wife, Joann Clay; sons, Sam Culbreth, John (Bernice) and Leon S. Clay; daughters, Velvet Jackson (Michael), Debra Clay and Wendy Barnes (Frank) and stepdaughter, Susan Scott; sister, Babe Ruth (John); grandchildren, Limiuel Nelson, Shananet, Jiddes, Velvet and Gerald Robinson, Dewayne Johnson, Tawanda Jones, Sam Jr., Eric, Jermaine, Termaine, Samantha, Samuel, Samone, Paul, and Devontae Culbreth, Xuxanyc and Traneisha Cunningham, Landyn and Tyler Barnes, Javarious, LeAndre, Elden and Marquis Clay, Rico, Jamie, Albert, Mario, Maurice, Robert, Porshia, Christopher and Sara Scott and Kevin Wilson, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Katherine Scott and Ruby Lee Scott; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Thursday, May 28th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and will be live streamed. The CDC guidelines will be followed.
