A Homegoing Celebration for the immediate family of Elder James S. Wood of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020, will be held on Saturday, March 28th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Tampa, Pastor William J. Parker, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. James was born in Kentucky on July 16, 1938. He loved shopping and being around the Saints of God. He was a member of the Church of the Kingdom of God and devoted his life to be a loving husband. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalee Jeanette Cheatham Wood and one son, Terry Jones. He leaves to cherish his memories with his children, Gregory D. Mitchell (Sharon), Glenda William (Walter), Charles Cheatham and Reginald Cheatham. He will be dearly missed by a host of other loving relatives and friends. There will be limited viewing at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, March 27th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are welcomed to join and view the funeral ceremony on the aikensfuneralhome.net website on Saturday.
