A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Elizabeth Walker Wynn of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 will be held on Saturday, August 3rd, 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th Street, Pastor S. Evan Burrows, officiating. The interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Elizabeth was born on June 9, 1917 in Tampa, Florida to the late Everett P. Walker and Ada Murphy. She was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of College Hill. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, attending church, working in her garden and spending time with her family and church family. She faithfully served in choir #1 as the president and secretary, Gordon Chancellor Choir, president of the senior adult choir, a member of Sunday School class # 13, Eva Huggins Circle Mission, Ida Roberts Circle Mission and she was actively involved with the Jolly Seniors Ministry as she traveled with the minister's wives and widow's to church conventions. She was preceded in death by her father, Everett Walker; mother, Ada Murphy; husband, Fred Wynn; sisters, Jessie Mae Walker, Catherine Tucker; nieces, Katherine Blocker and Elizabeth Futch; She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her children, Mary E. Chisholm and Wylean C. Gilyard; grandchildren, Jimeia Barreiro and Nivia Barreiro (Chris); great grandchildren, Nyla, Jalise Felder, Jaheim Felder, Malik Clark, Fortune Hinson, Nevaeh Williams and Chloe Valencia; great great grandson, Assir Felder; nieces, Mary J. Walker, Sonja Thurston-Walker, Carolyn Steverson and Laura A. Thomas; nephew, John P. Walker, Sr.; like a daughter, Kathy Rauleron; goddaughter, Gloria Creed (Harry); close friend, Constance Poitier (James); caretaker, Louvenia Collins; and a host of other family members and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, August 2nd from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
