Ella was born August 5, 1945, in Sanford, Florida to the late Eugene Akins, Sr., and Florida Akins.
She graduated from Central Tech High School in Syracuse, New York, and graduated from NYCU, with a degree in business administration. Ella was a member of Friendly M.B. Church. She enjoyed baking, spending time with her family, and floral arranging. She was the business owner of a family daycare, where she instilled education and values in young children for over 20 years.
She was preceded by death by her parents and siblings, Fred, David, Henry, Jerry, Marva, and Jacquelyn Akins; and uncle, John Houston.
She leaves precious memories with her children, Rodney Carley (Ezell), Henry Carley, Ivana Carley, and Shawn Cofy (Jean); grandchildren, Deshanna Demond (Warren), Shelenna Carley, Donovan Carley, Racquel Carley, Javon Carley, Simone Carley, Toby Akins (Shirely) and family and Joseph Wiggins (Shonda) and family; aunt, Juanita Fudge; great-grandchildren, SaNiay Waren, Daniel Negron, Jr. Trinity Negron, and Kamila Negron; a host of other family members, friends, neighbors, and church family who will miss her.
