Ms. Elodia P.
Woods
Jan 2, 1959 — Sep 17, 2026
Tampa
Elodia Patricia Woods, affectionately known as “Lodi,” was born on January 2, 1959, in Sandy Point, St. Kitts. She was a humble, quiet, and gentle woman whose life was centered around her love for her family and her faith in God.
Raised in St. Kitts, Lodi later came to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, as a young adult to begin a new life for herself and her children. She worked hard and made many sacrifices to provide a loving and secure home for her family. She believed in making sure the lights stayed on, there was food on the table, and her children had what they needed. Her children were her greatest priority, and she gave of herself in countless ways to make sure they were cared for.
Lodi was a woman of faith and a Christian who carried her love for God throughout her life. She was known for her caring, loving, thoughtful, and kind heart. Although she was naturally quiet and humble, those who knew her also knew her sense of humor. She was funny, smart, friendly, and especially gifted with numbers and mathematics.
Beyond her responsibilities as a mother, Lodi had many talents and simple joys. She was a wonderful cook and baker who could make delicious meals and baked goods from scratch. She also enjoyed crocheting, a craft that allowed her creativity and patience to shine. Lodi was an avid reader and a true bookworm who could often be found enjoying a good book. Among her favorite authors were Danielle Steel and John Grisham. She loved listening to music, especially Whitney Houston and Luther Vandross, as well as gospel music. She also enjoyed going on cruises and making memories through her travels.
Lodi was a loving mother to her four daughters and a devoted grandmother to her nine grandchildren. Her love for her family was evident in the sacrifices she made, the care she gave, and the life she worked so hard to build for them.
She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, quiet strength, kindness, humor, intelligence, faith, and unconditional love. The memories she created and the lessons she passed on will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, family, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
She may have been a quiet woman, but the love she gave spoke volumes. May she rest peacefully in the loving arms of God.
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever missed.
