A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Elouise B. Byron of Tampa, who passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, will be held on Saturday, June 18th, 2:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Debra Comellas of New Testament Worship Center will be officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Elouise was born March 26, 1936 in Perry, Florida to the late Wade Gant and Ellen Terrell. The family later relocated to Tampa, Florida, where she was educated in the Hillsborough County School System. She graduated from Middleton Senior High School, class of 1954 and was employed by the Hillsborough County School System as a school bus driver for 26 years, retiring in 1996. A devoted wife, mother and friend, she enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending quality time with friends and family. She was also an avid fan of CNN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Bradley and grandson, Darius Ebanks. Left to cherish her memory, a loving and dedicated husband, Henry Byron, Sr.; children, Marcia Hair (Claude), Sallye Pierre-Louis (Claude), Patricia Byron and Marlene Jacobs; grandchildren, Carey Byron, Erica Hill, Precely Davis III, Henry Davis, Sr., Tiffany Sierra, Patrick Pennington, Belaye Pennington and Marcus Fuller; brothers, Willie Terrell, Benny Gant and Earl Gant; sisters, Ruby Thomas and Jimmie Johns; sister-in law, Dr. Lorene Brown; nieces, Carla Thomas, Gay Byron, Toni Johns, Donna Steel, Carolyn Walden; nephews, Dennard Thomas, Darius Terrell, Ganius Byron, Khbero Baker, Eric Johns, Kenneth Johns and Rodney Johns; cousin, Betty Wright and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, June 17th from 5 to 8 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday for the homegoing service. The repast will be at Fair Oaks Park Recreation Center located at 5019 N. 34th Street, Tampa, FL 33610.
