Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Emerson Williams, Jr. of 6801 N. 47th Street who passed away, Thursday, April 23, 2009, will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Dr. Zachary Hudson, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Williams was born December 19, 1935 in Ft. Meade, Florida to the late Emerson and Ada Williams, Sr. Emerson was one of five children born to his parents. He was a Charter Bus Operator for many years with Annette Bus Service in Ocala and Sebring, Florida. He was currently employed with Hillsborough County School System, Transportation Department as a School Bus Driver. He leaves to cherish his fond memories with the love of his life and friend to the end, Almatine Clemons Williams; 2 daughters, Eunice Williams and Wynatte Williams; 3 sons, Larry Williams, Ronald Earl Williams, Sr. (Jennifer) of Orlando, FL, and Emerson Williams, III, Ocala, FL; children of Almatine, Rodney Williams (Marilyn) and Thomica Davis-Adams (Craig) of Montgomery, TX; brother, Benjamin Williams (Barbara) of Alexandria, VA; sister, Blanche McDonald, Bartow, FL; 17 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; aunt, Cecelia Burgess, Bartow, FL; special niece, Audrey Colston and family; special cousin, Delores Coachman and family of Miami, FL, The Burgess family of Bartow, FL; special friends, Barbara A. Atkins, Gloria Woods, Naomi and family of Bartow, FL; the employees and staff of Kilbride Insurance; devoted friends, Lottie and Brady Fahn of Tallahassee, FL; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and sorrowing friends. The remains will repose at Aikens Funeral Home Friday evening, May 1st from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive guest from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel for the service.
