Homegoing service for Mrs. Equilla Kelley of 3006 E. Chelsea Street who passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2011, will be held on Saturday, March 5th, 10:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Laytecia McKinney, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Equila was born August 12, 1932 in Eufala, Alabama to the late Ernest Richardson and Correll Reynolds. She was a longtime resident of Tampa, Florida. She attended the Holy Outreach for Christ Church. Equilla loved fishing, shopping and caring for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Virginia, Edward, Nathaniel, Matthew and William Henry Richardson. She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Annie Kelly Scruggs; grandchildren, Victoria Scruggs, Michael Kelly and wife, Melissa and Christopher Scruggs and wife, Joanne; great grandchildren, Paris Metesil, Tiffany Metesil, Kyla Kelly, Michael Kelly, Christopher Scruggs, Jr., Ceasia Scruggs, Shaundeya Russell, Gerard Booker, Whitney Austin and husband, Jeremy and De'Andre Blakely; brother, Earnest Richardson; nieces, Theresa Marshall and husband, Mike, Denise Ogle and husband, Steve and Channell Cox; nephews, Calvin Richardson and wife, Denise, Johnny Richardson and James Richardson and wife, Karen; a host of cousins; special friends, Louise Edwards, Christine Vickers, Reba Wilson and Audrey Reeves; and a host of other relatives and friends. The viewing will be held on Friday, March 4th, at Aikens Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel at 9: 45 a.m. on Saturday for the service.
