Homegoing celebration for Mrs. Ernestine Loraine Arnold "Lil Ma" of Tampa who passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013 will be held Saturday, October 19th at 2:00 p.m., at Hood Temple A.M.E Zion Church, 3608 N 26th Street, Pastor Bessie L. Mohead, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Ernestine Loraine Arnold was born November 17, 1963 to the late Edward Strother I and Ernestine Upshaw in Tampa, Florida. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Loraine was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories with husband, Samuel David Arnold, Sr.; children, Shantell Arnold, Samika Arnold and Samuel David Arnold, Jr.,; grandchildren, Shantiera Cotman, Michael Williams, Damontrae Arnold, Damayiah Tookes, Cameo Williams, Darrien Tookes and Zanise Roberson; brothers, Edward Antonio Strother II (Sharon), Israel Strother and James Strother; sisters, Beverly Merritt (Jerome), Tangela Miller (Ernest) and Prudence Strother); aunts, Joanne Vickers (James Earl), Thelma Watkins (Robert) and Mary Alice O'Neal; nieces, Antwonette Michelle Critton, Ashley Strother, Shannon Strother, Cierra Strother, Ernisha Miller, Esoterrica Arnold, Arriana McMichael and Colisha Bunch; nephews, Jerome Merritt, Jr. ( Nicole), Edward Strother, Jr.(Shadomonique), Ernie Miller, Jr. and Amir Strother; great niece, Burjea Strother; great nephews, Edward Strother III and Talon Rivers; other relatives and special friends, Sandra Arnold, Theresa Wimbush, Mary Wimbush, Robert Wimbush, Sr., Emma Arnold, Samuel Arnold (Gwen), Jerodine Johnson, Simon Mckeller, Jessie Jones, Ernest McMichael (Robyn) and Robert Arnold. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, October 18th from 5 to 8 p.m. the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
