Tampa
Ernestine Thomas Wynn (Mooch, Moochie, Tina), born September 17, 1934, to Maggie Ruth Lamar Thomas and Frederick Douglas Thomas, taking her journey to be with the Lord on August 20,2026 at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her son Adam Sherwin Junious, her parents, Frederick Douglas Thomas, Maggie Ruth Lamar Jones; husband, John Wynn; and stepfather, Cornelius Jones. Ernestine affectionately called Mooch, Moochie, Tina by many that knew her through early years of her life and working. She was a faithful member of Allen Temple AME Church for 30+ years, where Dr. Glenn B. Dames, Jr. is her Pastor.
Ernestine was born and raised in Tampa-Shores, now called Oldsmar. She attended St. Peter Claver Catholic School in earlier years and Middleton High School. In her marriage to John Wynn, she traveled through military travels (Okinawa and Delaware) and personal travel traveling from Tampa to California/Washington state and constantly up the east coast. Ernestine loved cooking, especially baking cakes, was known for her biscuits, enjoyed reading, puzzling, sending out cards to people for many reasons, sharing stories on the history of Tampa, and keeping up on current events. Enjoyed using new technology, speaking through her apple watch and using the tablet. When it came to buying new gadgets, she influenced many that entered her space to new tools especially for the kitchen. Mama will surely be missed by her Family, extended family members and friends.
Leaving to cherish her memories, her children, son Kenneth Junious, Sr. (Joyce), daughters Cynthia Junious Jones (Hiram), Brenda Junious Walden (Derek, Sr.); grandchildren, Kenneth Junious, Jr., Adam Johnson, Derek Walden, Jr., Devin Walden; great-grandchildren, Breanna Junious Kay, Ambrielle, Allan, Aaliyah, Adam, Nyla Johnson, and Kennedy Junious; great-great-grandchildren, Derek Walden III and Mia Kay.
