Homegoing celebration for Mr. Ervin Washington, Jr. who passed away Monday, May 20, 2013 will be held Saturday June 1, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at the Center of Manifestation, 3102 E. Lake Ave. Apostle Mark T. Jones, pastor with Apostle Janice Baker, officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Ervin Washington Jr. was born on March, 14, 1980 in Tampa, Florida to Ervin Washington Sr. and Claudie Washington. He passed from this life on Monday May 20, 2013 in Seffner Florida Ervin graduated from Howard W. Blake High School in 1999. He played little league football at the Ybor City Boys and Girls club (Eagles) from age 8-15 years old. He loved and was passionate about the sport of Football. He later started as a volunteer and parent at the Brandon Lions where he played a tremendous part of grooming his sons to play football with passion. He then joined the league as a coach and from then on he was called Coach Erv by the parents and the kids in the organization. He loved those kids and cared for them dearly. One of his favorite quotes was "We are doing this for the kids, ya'll need to Tighten UP" Preceded in death his Father Ervin Washington Sr. Surviors include his wife Emon Kellar of Seffner Florida, daughters, Emon Gilmore, Neveah Washington; sons James Gilmore, Ronrico Davis and Ervin Washington III. Mother Claudie Washington (Frank), sisters; Valencia Washington, Waytonia Washington (Chevalier), Kidada McNair (Eric), Brother Kenneth Baines (Alicia). Uncles; Lester Moses (Bell) of Jesup, GA, Festus Moses Jr. Ulyses Moses, Frank Heart all of Tampa, FL, Lee Washington (Ruby) of Decatur, GA, Lonnie Houston (Shirley) of Dover, FL, Robert Houston (Lomi) of Valdosta, GA, Jonathan Houston (Jackie) of Jasper, FL. Aunts; Margaret Boone of Jesup, GA, Betty Kelly (Leroy)of Fountain, CO, Shirlene Armstrong (Larry) of Jesup, GA, Eartha Hills of Tampa, FL, Mamie W. Ashby (Gregory) of Tampa, FL, Viola Archibold of Tampa, FL; special people really dear to Ervin was the Brandon Lions organization ( parents, kids, coaches, and staff) best friends; Jerry Adrnell, Yancy Clark, James Greco, Juan Arinas, Marcus Ford, Dexter Leeks, Barry Meadows and; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, May 31st, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the Center of Manifestation on Saturday for the service.
