A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Estella Green of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018 will be held on Saturday, June 30th, 10:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Tampa, FL Rev. James L. Gallon, officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Estella was born on October 17, 1939 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Theodore Green and Eva Simmons. She late came to Tampa in 1963. Estella was educated at Thompkins High school in Savannah, Georgia. She loved singing the gospel, spending time with her grandchildren and cooking. She was spiritually inclined at an early age, she was a member of New Mt. Zion in her early years and before becoming ill. She was a member of New Salem on Nebraska Avenue, where she sang in the Gospel Chorus. Estella leaves to cherish her memories with her children, Barbara Green, Jacquelyn Green, Jeffrey Curtis, Tonya Tuff, Michelle Tuff and Alvin Porter; grandchildren, Antoine Walton, Amazo Evans, Akehia Evans, Aaron Green, Ahmad Richardson, Anya Robinson, Maurice Montgomery, Porscha Curtis, Adija Curtis, Kenyana Tuff and Desmond Tuff; brothers, Freddie Hampton (Leslie Mae), Johnnie Kicklighter (Liz) and Otis Frazier; sisters, Christine Hampton of Georgia, Lillian Johnson (Walter), Helen Jenkins (Roger) of New York, Margie Smith (Curtis) of Lakeland, Florida; cousins, Eugene Hicks, Cynthia Hicks, Angela Hicks, Sheryl Hicks-Kelly and Cassandra Harris; 27 great grandchildren; special friends, Ike Thomasand Leona Dewberry; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, June 29th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
