Obituary

Ethel S. Trezevant was born to the late Elma Rich and Sylvia Berrian Rich, on March 13, 1936, in Milton, Florida. Ethel is affectionately

known as Shirley. She was a beacon of wisdom, generosity, and love. She leaves behind a legacy of care and compassion that touched the lives of many. Those who knew Shirley will remember her as the embodiment of love, her advice and insights guiding many through life's complexities. Her generosity knew no bounds, as she gave freely of her time, talents, and resources.

A graduate of the Central School for Practical Nursing, Ethel dedicated her life to the noble profession of nursing, serving with distinction as a Registered Nurse and later as an Assistant Head Nurse. Her unwavering commitment to her patients and her profession earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and the community. Ethel's zest for life extended beyond her professional endeavors. She held many titles to her family and friends Grandma Shirley, Aunt Shirley and Ms. Shirley; her door was open if you're hungry, need a hug or just someone to talk to, she impacted every life she touched. As a single mother of three, she was a fierce protector, provider and mountain mover.

Above all, Ethel (Shirley) was loving—a heart full of warmth that she extended to all around her. Her memory will be cherished, and her presence deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elma Rich and Sylvia Berrian Rich; brother, Troy Rich, Sr.; sisters, Carrie J. Butler and Malassie Rich Mercer Parks.
