Homegoing services for Mrs. Ethel L. Williams of 3619 Machado Street who passed away Monday, May 25, 2009 will be held Tuesday, June 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at New Freindship Missionary Baptist Church, 3202 E. Lake Ave., Rev. Dr. H.L. Daniels, pastor officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Ethel L. Williams was born February 6, 1926 in Eufaula, Alabama to the late Everett and Minnie Laster. She came to Chirst at early age at Freemont Baptist Church of Clayton, Alabama. She resided in Tampa for many years since the late 50's. She was a member of New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, where she was proud to serve as a deaconess in the church she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her parents and 5 siblings. She leaves to cherish her passing: son, Willie E. Morris of Maryland and daughter, Mary J. Cathirell of Hudson, FL; 5 loving grandchildren; brother, James Everett Laster, of Ashburn, GA; sisters, Lalar M. Taylor of New York and Lillie M. Graddic of Tampa; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. The remains will repose at Aikens Funeral Home on Monday, June 1st from 4 to 7 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church for service on Tuesday at 10:45 a.m.
