Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Eva Mae Wiley "Honey" of Tampa who passed away Monday, January 12, 2015, will be held Saturday, January 17th, 2:00 p.m. at Greater Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church, 1225 N. Nebraska Ave., Rev. Dr. B.R. Fulton, Jr., pastor officiating. The interment will follow. Eva was born February 7, 1932 in Byromville, Georgia to the late C.D. and Cora Mae Bogan. She was educated at Montezuma Junior High School. She was converted and baptized at an early age and united with Reeda Branch Baptist Church in Byromville, Georgia. In the early 50's she moved to Tampa, Florida and united with Greater Mt. Moriah P.B. Church. She was a member of the No. 2 Choir, a Sunday school teacher, youth chaperone and crowned Queen of the South Florida Primitive Baptist Church School Congress on more than one occasion. Sis. Wiley also attended the Primitive Baptist Association, State and National Conventions regularly. She was employed with the Salvation Army, Gators of Florida and Tampa General Hospital, where she retired from the environmental services department after 13 years. She was married to the late Marcelouse Wiley. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, George and Ernest Bogan and sister, Bertha Bogan. Sis. Wiley is survived by and leaves sweet and loving memories with her children, Brenda McKenzie, Shirley McKenzie, Charlie Mae Denson, Lorenzo McKenzie, Marcelo Wiley and Sharese Wiley; sister, Sarah Bogan; brother, Tommy Bogan (Alberta); grandchildren, Ernest Knight III, Latranita McKenzie, Dyrontae Kinney, Talvin Mathews, Shermiss Johnson (Calvin), Jermaine Council, Jimmie Council, Cathy McKenzie, Lachaun Denson, James Denson, Jr., Lorenzo McKenzie, Jr., Stephanie McKenzie, Ashley McKenzie, Zsayai Wiley, Jahvonni McIntyre, a host of sorrowing grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sons-in-law, James Denson, Sr. (Jennifer) and Michael Floyd; daughter-in-law, Kristie Wiley; family and close friends, Emma Lee, Mother Ruby Mack, the Watson, Young, Wiggins and Green families, Mamie Ballard, Mother Maggie Hodge, Pat Davis and Paulette Spates Walker; special thanks to Mona's Fashions, LifePath Hospice for your love and support during this journey. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, January 16th, from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
