In the dictionary next to the words, determination, tenacity, perseverance, kindness, gentleness, love, meekness…should be a picture of Eric "You'll be aight" Mitchell. While battling cancer, he continued to serve at DOCCF as: an evangelist, praise team member, fundraiser cake baker/volunteer,  photographer, and webmaster. If that wasn't enough, Eric attended the YMCA to exercise, socialize with friends, and attend a "Move & Groove" exercise class. After the "Move & Groove" group ended; he started a two-step cardio class at DOCCF. Wait, there's more. Eric worked on Charles Lewis' campaign for Florida State Senate District 39 and was waiting to take the test to become a State of Florida certified insurance agent. Eric's love of singing and magnetic personality afforded him the opportunity as a young adult to sing at the White House and to work with Amanda Velez to record a song related to her book- "Delivered". That recording inspired Eric to record one of his own songs, "Lord You're Worthy" (you can find it on YouTube).

Eric Sean Mitchell was an evangelist, singer, songwriter, brother, friend, cake bishop, TikTok content creator, photographer, videographer, coach, and webmaster. Eric, now that you're resting waiting on the return of the Lord- "you'll be aight"!  He was preceded in death by, mother, Virginia Mitchell; step-father, John Cruse, Sr.; father, Charlie Mills, Sr.; brothers, Charlie Mills, Jr., Malcolm Pearson, and Alfred Pearson; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Henry and Franklin Baker; uncle, Johnnie Mayo. He leaves to cherish his memory,  sister, Charlotte Tape, Carletta Henry ,  Rickey Mills (Yvonne), John Cruse, Jr., Cyretha Baker , Sharon Edwards (Liviston), Debra Gainer (Michael), Janice Hopkins, Joanne Cobb, and Mary Jo McKay (Kenneth); aunts, Lucinda Mayo and Joyce Golphin (Levertis); along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
