Obituary

Funeral services for Ms. Eveleina Gibson of Tampa, who passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013, will be held on Saturday, November 30th, 2:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, with Rev. Willie Hopkins, officiating. She was born in Charleston, South Carolina and lived in Albany, NY 40 years before moving to Florida 7 years ago. She enjoyed reading cooking and spending time with family. She cooked for 27 years for the Sisters of Holy Name Organization. She loved fish-fry's and socializing with her dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, William Johnson; mother, Victoria Gilliard; son, Charles Gibson, Jr., significant other, George Arnold; daughter, Betty Jean Gibson. She leaves to cherish her memories with brothers, Sammie Burwick and wife, Norma and William Johnson, Jr.; sister, Rutha Lee Fribley (L.C. Burney); children, Nathaniel Gibson ( Pearlie Mingo Gibson), James Gibson, Brenda Joyce Gibson, David Lee Gibson, Anthony Michael Gibson, Georgetta (Gina) Gibson (Griffin Swanson); grandchildren, Durnell Gibson , Carlton Busch, Yolanda Gibson, T'Sey-Haye M. Preaster, Troy (Mel) Gibson, Tyshone Gibson, Isiah C. Brown, Jade Victoria Gibson, Kiara J. Swanson, Kamar J. Swanson and Kamya J. Swanson, great grand baby, Alana Gibson; 3 nephews and 1 niece; cousins and friends, special cousin, Mary Graves; and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, November 29th, from 5-8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the Chapel on Saturday for the service.
