On Monday, January 27, 2025, God called one of his faithful servants, Mrs. Evelyn Blount, loving wife, mother of five, and grandmother to all, home to eternal paradise at the age of 92. Mrs. Evelyn was born on March 24, 1932, in Tampa, FL. She served as a deaconess at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, where Rev. Joseph Sykes was her pastor.

She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, shopping at the mall, watching the Buccaneers play football, and spending time with, as well as loving on her loved ones.

Mrs. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Bob Blount; father, James Price; mother, Maggie Price, and siblings, Mildred Mayfield, Delores Bellamy, Isaac Price, Jacob Price, Marcellas Price, and Linda Price.

She was also preceded in death by her sons in law, Bernard Warren, Robert Smith Sr., and Sugarray Hart. Mrs.Evelyn leaves behind to cherish her memories five children; Renae Smith, Sheila Warren, Gilda Price, Christle Blount (Job), and Derek Blount.;7 grandchildren, Shoma Shelly, Bobby Warren (Luciana), Anwar Pilcher, Ronja Smith, Robert Smith II (Jamilla), Sharae Grubbs (Tayiah) and Yasmine Mack; 14 great grandchildren, Alexis Shelly, Noah Shelly, Sha'Qauze Bell, Nia Bell, Bobby Warren Jr., Dainyla Roman, Azariah Lee, Chloe Bradley, Brycen Warren, Jayce Grubbs, Robert Smith III, Germani Harrell, Armad Harrell, and Amora Harrell; 3 great-great grandchildren and a special niece and nephew,Germaine Fagin (Alfred) and Shalimar Brooks. She also leaves to cherish her memories, the McCloud Family, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and special family friends Claretha Graham, Elaine Bridges, Juanita Bowles, Theresa Thomas (Paul), and Phekila Johnson.
