A Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Evelyn Coleman who passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 will be held on Saturday May 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Saint John's Cathedral Church, 3401 E 25th Ave Bishop Eddie Newkirk, pastor officiating. The interment will be in Rest Heaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Evelyn Coleman was born October 23,1952 in Tampa Florida to her parents, Arthur and Altamese Coleman. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Evelyn also loved watching movies, she took a lot of pride in reading her bible and Evelyn was a faithful and active member of Divine Favor Baptist Church. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and loved being surrounded by her family and church family.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Elsie Coleman; grandson, Carlton Denson,and her brother, Arthur Coleman Jr and special friend, Earl Floyd. She leaves behind to cherish her precious memories: mother, Altamese Coleman; father; Arthur Coleman, as well as her children daughter, Tonya Lovette and sons, Eric Coleman and Antonio Lovette; grandchildren, Ja'nyia Bonney, Tyreianna Crawford, Ja'kevion Burnett, La'amariya Sails, Samiya Ogiesby, Tyre Crawford, Carlton, Domonique Hayes, Tonae Crawford, Samij Ogiesby, Alexis Stanley and Janica Bullock; great-grandchildren, Reginald Housley, Christopher Johnson, Maknia Shaw, Daniah Jackson, Jakyla Thompson and Amari Sails; brothers, Derrick and David Coleman; sisters, Karrie Coleman and Linda Murray; nieces, Veronique Hicks, Christina Coleman and Brittney Robinson ; nephews, Alphonso Hicks Jr, and Curtis Robinson, grandniece and nephews; Destini Pickens, Quess Hicks, Walkeria Pickens, Jayla Pickens, Jazmine Walker, Ke'miyah Robinson, K'moni Wills, Demarcus Pickens, IzgianJohns, Iyoni Johns, Keyvis Wills Jr, Jazniya Hicks, and Timothy Walker. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, May 7th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service we are following the CDC guidelines.
