The Mass of the Resurrection for the repose of the soul of Mrs. Faith Monica Sampson, 64, of 4114 W. Mango Ave., who passed away Monday, May 25, 2009, will be held Saturday, May 30th, 11:00 a.m., at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1203 N. Nebraska Ave., Father Hugh, officiating. The interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Sampson was born in Kingston, Jamaica, June 28, 1940. She moved to Tampa, Florida in 1978 and resided in South Tampa for 30 years. Mrs. Sampson was a loving wife, mother, nanny and godmother whom will be missed by her loving family and many close friends. She is survived by: her devoted husband, Vincent Sampson; 4 children, Vincent Sampson, Jr. of North Carolina, Audris Sampson of Wesley Chapel, Dorette Sampson of Tampa and Gary Sampson of St. Pete; grandchildren, Kirk Stapleton and wife, Chanisse of Tampa, Maurice Rainey of Tampa, Jemell Trotman, Michael Lewis-Sampson and Mekala Brown; great-grandchildren, Destiny Rainey and 16 month old Kira Alexyss Stapleton; and her loving St. Peter Claver Church family. The remains will repose at Aikens Funeral Home Friday, May 29, 2009, from 5 - 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 - 6 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church 10:45 a.m. Saturday for the service. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers for donations to be made to St. Peter Claver Catholic School, 1401 N Governor St., Tampa, FL, 33602.
